At a glance Starts at $0 Billing model Storage and monthly bandwidth Free plan or trial 25 GB stored, 200 GB a month, 1 user Sale attribution Basic analytics only Best for A small library that can keep the logo Website [Wistia Free official site](https://wistia.com/pricing) ### What drives your bill The Free card on the pricing page shows the storage allowance, one user, and the credits line. Bandwidth is a separate monthly cap, and you cannot buy more of it on this plan. The Wistia logo remains on the player until the Business plan. Heatmaps, engagement graphs and A/B testing are not included. For a VSL on cold paid traffic, weigh the pricing model against what you get back. Wistia Free is the pick if a small library can keep the logo and stay under the monthly bandwidth cap. ### What happens at the bandwidth cap Free plans have a monthly bandwidth limit, and you cannot buy extra bandwidth or pay for overages. After a short grace period past that cap, embedded videos stop playing until the next billing month. [Wistia's bandwidth article](https://support.wistia.com/en/articles/8264552-account-usage-and-bandwidth). ##### What works * The plan has no monthly fee, and the player is Wistia's ad-free player with basic analytics. * Hosting and playback do not use credits. * The storage and bandwidth allowances are enough for a small library. ##### What to watch * The Wistia logo remains on the player. Removing the logo requires the Business plan. * Heatmaps, engagement graphs and A/B testing are not included. * Once you pass the monthly bandwidth cap, after a short grace period, embeds stop playing. You cannot buy extra bandwidth on this plan. ### Frequently asked questions Is Wistia Free actually $0? Yes. There is no monthly fee. The limits are storage, monthly bandwidth, the logo on the player, and which tools are included. What stops an embed? Passing the monthly bandwidth allowance. This plan cannot buy an overage, and playback stays off until the allowance resets. Do credits pay for playback? No. The credits article says hosting and playback do not spend them. The pricing card and that article also word the free allotment differently, which the review spells out. She checks autoplay, watch time, timed buttons, lead gates and page speed when the visitor is new and the traffic is paid. She also maps what each host really costs, whether it bills per play, per gigabyte or per seat, and rebuilds the monthly bill for a typical VSL funnel. For each piece she reads long-term user reports across forums and review sites, works through the vendor's own docs and pricing, and confirms the numbers before a verdict goes live.
